Twin brothers Mickelito and Emilio (10 years old) live their normal lives on a tropical island with their mother Mama Petra. Little do they know that something terrible is about to happen, when suddenly a massive hurricane hits and destroys the village's water supply.

The twins are sent on a mysterious football tournament to try and save the village, where their football skills and brotherly love are tested against creatures from another realm including talking trees and creepy trolls.

The story is inspired by the author's experiences living in Haiti with her sons Mikkel, Emil and Odin. Part of the proceeds from the book will be donated to the aid organization Prosjekt Haiti.

«A tropical paradise afflicted by adversity coupled with fairytale excitement of the endeavors to succeed. A fun read with smart life lessons learned along the way. Highly recommend!»

About the author

My name is Ingvill, I am 54 years old, from Finnsnes in Northern Norway. This is my first attempt at writing a children's book.

I wrote this book as a gift to my three sons, and a tribute to my second homeland Haiti, which I love so much. The episode in the book where the water pump collapses, and the local people in the village understand that they are being punished for forgetting to ask for permission to intervene in nature is (almost) completely true :)

I spent my childhood in Finnsnes, and most of my adult life I have studied and worked in several countries; France, England, Ecuador and Haiti.

In the year 2000, I Co- founded the organization Prosjekt Haiti, and our main activity is to run the primary school Petit Troll in the village of Saint Louis du Sud.

I am very fond of languages, storytelling and creative writing, and my favorite activity is cheering on my boys when they play football!

What happens in the village when a powerful hurricane destroys the water source, and why is the sea goddess so angry?
